Mengatasi error An exception occurred while trying to run “shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll” sewaktu melepas Flash Disk


Sewaktu mau melepas USB (safe remover) Flash Disk di salah satu komputer client di kantor muncul error :

An exception occurred while trying to run “shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll”.

Semula mengira karena ada virus di flash disk tersebut. Dicoba discan dengan Trend Micro, PCMAV, SMADAV, dan Ansav namun tidak terdeteksi apa-apa.

Akhirnya setelah coba-coba gogling ketemu cara  seperi ini :

  • Click on control panel icon
  • click on system icon
  • click “hardware” tab
  • click “device manager” button
  • click on “view” menu item…show hidden devices
  • scroll down, double-click on “storage volumes”
  • Right click on any drive with a letter and choose “Update driver” and let it search the internet.

Setelah drivernya terupdate akhirnya error tersebut tidak muncul lagi
